You can also take your car here without any hassles. Just bring it on the ferry. There are numerous car ferries and jetfoils operating between Algeciras and Tarifa in Spain and Tangiers and Ceuta in Morocco. There are also ferry trips twice a week from Gibraltar to Tangier.
The bus and railway stations are a short walk from the jetty, all of which make Tangiers a useful centre for excursions. Tangiers is very well linked to mainland Europe and the Middle East. The international airport has regular flights to various European cities.
Trains from both the port and town stations go to Fez and the romantic and historic Marrakesh up in the High Atlas.
